Article IV
STUDENT SERVICES AND FACILITIES

Motivated by its goal of providing a conducive atmosphere to quality education with opportunities for the total human development of its students, CSFJRZNI provides the following services and facilities.

Section 1. SPIRITUAL FORMATION AND CAMPUS MINISTRY

1. Regular Masses, Novena Prayers, Retreats and Recollections. Spiritual growth of students is facilitated by attending regular masses, novena prayers, retreats and recollections. The church which is located just in front of the school is open daily for those who wish to offer visits and prayers. Non- Catholics are encouraged to develop a spirit of prayers through a regular participation of spiritual exercises in their respective faith and churches.

2. Inter-Faith Activities. The school provides activities wherein students of all faiths can join. Places of worship and spiritual formation centers are also provided where students of other religious faiths can assemble for worship in their own respective ways. During Catholic masses and novenas, students of other religious sects are also provided with activities that correspond to the same religious purpose.

Section 2. SCHOOL LIBRARY

1. The CSFJRZNI library is divided into two sections. high school and college. It is a well-ventilated library with printed collections, non-printed collections, and audio-visual collections for the academic enrichment of faculty and student education.

2. The library is located above the audio visual room and is beside the senior high school building and is open throughout the day from 8:00 AM to 12:00 AM and 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, except on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.

Section 3. GUIDANCE AND COUNSELING CLINIC

The Guidance and Counseling Clinic is installed to facilitate assistance and services to students in developing their skills and potentials for vocational and job placement guidance. It also caters to students manifesting or experiencing problem in school, in their homes and others that may affect school performance and personal development through modifying their social situations which have directly and Indirectly affected their social functioning. In coordination with the Local Social Welfare and Development Offices and other partner agencies, students encountering problems with parents and other members of the family/community will be given free services through the facility of the Family Crisis Therapeutic Center and other support services deemed appropriate for the students.

Section 4. HEALTH SERVICE CLINIC

All students should submit themselves for physical and dental examinations through the school clinic in coordination with the CSFJRZNI Alumni Association and the Municipal Health Office. The School Nurse conducts regular inspection of the school canteen and vendor stalls, the handwash areas, and all comfort, rooms.

Section 5. SCHOOL CANTEEN

The school has installed a sanitary school canteen to prevent students from going out of the school premises during class hours. Snacks and lunch are served at regular times while school supplies are sold during school time.

Section 6. COMPUTER LABORATORY

The school's computer and internet laboratories which are housed in air- conditioned rooms are both utilized by high school and college students. These are regularly maintained by the computer laboratory in charge and inspected by CHED and TESDA personnel to ensure quality computer education for all students.

Section 7. HM LABORATORY

This is used for the technological and vocational training of students in vocational education and home technology.

Section 8. COVERED COURT

The Covered court is used for sports, social, cultural, and religious purposes of the school. It is also used as a center for Physical Education and NSTP.

Section 9. OUT-OF-TOWN HOUSING SUPPORT PROGRAM

The school through the Guidance Counselor facilitates and assists students in locating suitable and safe boarding houses for out-of-town students. A master list of suitable and conducive boarding houses for students will be posted on the bulletin board of the Guidance Clinic based on surveys and findings in coordination with the Student Affairs and Services Coordinator and the Research and Development Coordinator.

Section 10. COMMUNITY EXTENSION PROGRAM

1. Exposure of students to community problems and situations is a major component of the school's program thrust. Their exposure combines school and community activities as an integral part of the students growth and in making them aware of their responsibility as members of society.

2. The extension program covers the following:

a. Immersion process of students to the identified depressed communities of the municipality of Rizal and its neighboring municipalities like La Libertad and Sibutad for Community Development Projects in coordinating with lined national and local government agencies like DSWD, DOH, DOLE, TESDA, DA, and the LGU;

b. Catechetical instruction to children and students in public schools;

c. Health and nutrition services;

d. Literacy program; and

e. The promotion of arts and culture.

3. These activities and projects will be closely supervised and monitored by the Community Extension Program Coordinator. The coordinator will then coordinate with the department heads and officers for their extension program activities in the community.

Section 11. STUDY COTTAGES

The study cottages are designed and built to give student individuals or groups a conducive place for study and for small group discussion. It is built in a cool and conducive atmosphere to learning with trees surrounding it.

Section 12. FORMATION AND REVIEW CENTER AND AUDIO VISUAL ROOM

These facilities are designed for the spiritual and moral formation of students in a seminar type of activity. This is further designed for the conduct of an exclusive review for Government Examinations: Civil Service Examination, Licensure Examination for Teachers and Social Workers.

Section 13. STUDENT LOUNGE

This is an area where students spend their time for study, group work, discussions, and preparing course study materials.

Section 14. PHYSICAL EDUCATION ROOM

This is a room designed for physical education activities, and where physical education facilities and equipment are installed.

Section 15. ACCESSIBILITY FACILITIES FOR PWD OR DAP

The school provides facilities for persons with disabilities or differently-abled persons like special pathways, ramps, handrails, and humps for their safety and easier accessibility to school buildings and other places where PWD or DAP's presence may be necessary.

Section 16. SPECIAL PROGRAM FOR STUDENTS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS

Each school department area plans, devises and provides a special program to remedy, assist and facilitate the learning progress of students with special needs.

Section 17. FIELD STUDY AND EDUCATIONAL TOUR

Regarding Field Study and Educational Tour, the school abides by the policies and guidelines on Educational Tours and Fieldtrips of students as provided by CHED Memorandum Order (CMO) No. 17 S. 2012. Likewise, for field trips.

Procedures for securing approval must refer to the provisions on Student Activities.

Section 18. RESEARCH PROGRAM

All departments/offices must conduct research on their respective programs annually as authors or co-authors in any research work. Research results and outputs shall be submitted to the Research office and shall be disseminated, published in any available journals, and utilized in community extension program.

Recognizing the importance of research to education, the school is willing to give incentives to all teaching and non-teaching employees who can successfully present their research output.

Section 19. ANNUAL PLAN OF ACTION

All departments/offices must prepare an Annual Plan of Action on their respective programs and services at the beginning of the school year and must furnish a copy to each head the provisions relative to his/her office's works for inclusion.

All departments/offices must submit their respective annual accomplishment reports based on their plan of action to the QA office for collation at the end of school year, ready for the regular monitoring and evaluation of CHED, DepEd, TESDA and other regulating agencies.

AMENDMENTS

This college student handbook is a codification of the more important rules and regulations of long standing but revised and modified pursuant to CHED Rules and Laws of the Republic. All previous rules not in conformity with the provisions herein are considered as replaced or modified accordingly.

This handbook may in due time be amended, modified or changed in the interest of academic excellence and discipline as changing circumstance require.

DATE OF EFFECTIVITY

This college student handbook shall take effect starting the first semester of the academic year 2022-2023.
